Anti-Corrosive Metal Paint

Direct 2 Metal Directions

Surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free of dust, dirt, oil, loose rust, excessive chalky material, grime, grease, wax, mould. Black mill scale, loose rust or other debris should be removed by thorough wire brushing or abrading.

Thorough sanding of the surface is recommended.

Steel exposed to salt or marine environment should be thoroughly  rinsed before application.

If repainting make sure surface is sound (i.e: no loose or peeling paint),lightly sand any paint film edges.

No primer is required in mild conditions or interior exposure. For maximum rust protection use a cold galvanising primer ,etch primer or use a anti-corrosive primer. If rust is difficult to remove,  use a rust converter followed by an anti-corrosive primer.

Aluminum and zinc coated metals must be thoroughly cleaned of grease and contaminents. while D2M can be applied directly for maximum adhesion a etch primer may offer maximum protection.
